Connection and relationship are what make many things worthwhile. Ministry leaders know from experience that one of the best ways to deal with a hard problem or to take an idea apart to see if it really works is to sit down with a group of like-minded friends and talk it out. The ability to converse, share, connect, and learn from each other is how understanding and true community takes place and is often what makes life exciting and meaningful. One challenge of the global growth of the Church of the Nazarene is our disconnectedness and the loss of relationship and expertise with others within our fellowship.
Blogging technology now enables friends, ministry partners, and the greater Church to be able to connect and converse in unprecedented and convenient ways. Blogs help make a large organization small by the ability to connect people regardless of time, geography, and distance. Blogs also enable local churches to extend their reach and availability to those beyond their immediate surroundings.
Nazarene Blogs is an attempt to allow Nazarenes everywhere the opportunity to share their expertise, passion, and experiences with the greater church and those beyond congregational walls as a way to build God’s Kingdom and reach others for the sake of Christ.
