03.10In God We Trust
Currently msnbc is doing a pole that I was asked to vote my opnion on. This post shares my thoughts on the subject.
msnbc poll question: 3/10/09
(http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10103521/)
Should the motto “In God We Trust” be removed from U.S. currency?
Here are the two options:
Yes. It’s a violation of the principle of separation of church and state.
No. The motto has historical and patriotic significance and does nothing to establish a state religion.
I don’t agree with either of these answers so I did not vote. I believe that our country is in trouble because we no longer acknowledge that God helped us to establish this free country. The “In God We Trust” was a statement of faith made by our forefathers. It is not just a statement of historical and patriotic significance, it states the whole reason we have been so blessed as a country and it is the reason for our freedom. When we relegate it to a statement of historical and patriotic signigicance we have sealed the doom of our country. (To relegate is to assign to a place of insignificance or of oblivion; to put out of sight or mind.) We must not put God, and His Lordship over our country, out of sight or out of mind.
God bless you.

Do you have trouble with doubt. Read the page titled, ”The Conductor”. It was written by a woman who struggled with doubt for many years.
Tired of loosing weight only to gain it back again with extra pounds too? I lost 60 pounds and have kept it off for almost two years and counting. No drugs, no fad diet, just a lot of hard work and some help from God. Check out my diet page.
