I’m sure anyone who’s has watched television lately has seen a Verizon Commercial. You know, the one where someone ends up somewhere horribly remote and with absolutely no service, and its almost portrayed in a horror film kind of way. Only the person is like,”Its okay, we’ve got them.” and we see the mob of people standing behind them representing the Verizon Network and how no matter where you go they’ll be there for you so you can always make a call. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
…the God of Israel will be your rear guard. - Isaiah 52:12
Be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of age. - Matthew 28:20
I’m sure that isn’t exactly what Verizon had in mind when they were making the commercials, but that doesn’t mean we can’t us it in an analogy. Just like in the Verizon Network in those commercials, God is always with us. He’s always got our back. With that in mind, we should always be confident in the things we do and the challenges we are faced with. We should always have confidence, just like the people in the commercial who seem to be completely unfazed by the “dead zone” due to the Verizon network.
No matter what’s going on in your life. No matter how good or bad things may seem. Regardless of whether or not you have Verizon. The bottom line is God is always with you.
