How Do You Respond to God’s Love?

This past Sunday discussed God’s love and our response. God gave us Jesus Christ to be the penalty for our sin through His death on the cross. In response to that love we are to love God and love others - in a way that bears fruit. What are some of the practical ways that you respond to God’s love?

I try to be obedient to the opportunities He places in front of me, knowing that He often has plans for me that I don’t grasp until afterward when I look back and realize I might have missed a chance to meet a need or introduce someone to Him. Often what I think are obstacles or inconveniences that hinder my plans are actually meant to minister to someone around me. I once heard them called ‘God interruptions”. My goal is to get so good at hearing His instructions that I don’t miss these valuable opportunities to share His love with others.
